Cherry Blossoms!
The last two times I went to Japan, I was there right before cherry blossom season. But it looks like I'll get there just in time this year! Yay!
The Japan Metereological Agency puts out predictions each year for when the cherry blossoms will start for different areas of Japan.
Here is a map with the dates for the first blossoms for 2008. They start earlier in Okinawa and Kyushu in the south, and later further north and in the mountains.
