Here are 2 things I meant to mention before:
1. On the flight from Detroit to Nagoya, I saw two people who looked like these vloggers: Rachel and Jun. Their YouTube videos are about the differences between Japan and the US, and I've enjoyed several of them.
2. WingTown mall is called that (I think) because it's in 羽根町/Hanecho, literally "Wing Town".
